Virginia Tech’s “Fighting Gravity” has a chance to win America’s Got Talent
The Virginia Tech based black light illusion group has a chance to win $1,000, 000 as well as a performance at a Las Vegas nightclub.
The Virginia Tech-based black light illusion group Fighting Gravity has a chance to win $1,000,000 as well as a performance at a Las Vegas nightclub. The troupe is up against three other acts on the popular show America’s Got Talent: 10-year-old opera singer Jackie Evancho, guitarist Michael Grimm, and singer Prince Poppycock. The winner will be determined by the barrage of calls, texts, and online votes sure to follow Tuesday night’s final performance and will be announced Wednesday night.
Fighting Gravity is made up of 13 members of Tech’s Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and was formed in 2009. The purpose of the original group was to compete in a university talent show to benefit an organization called “Service for Sight.” Bios and merchandise can be found at the group’s official site. Thought you meant the band Fighting Gravity for a second. They were Richmond-based.
Yeah, that’s been a big point of confusion for people from Richmond. I wonder how the band feels about it.
I don’t think this group should win…where is the talent here? what they are doing , anybody can do it, you can do it, I can do it. If the lights are on..you can see how EASY their act is…
