According to an article on ESPN, VCU basketball coach Anthony Grant took part in a second round of interviews at the University of Alabama. In addition to meeting with university officials, he and his wife also took a tour of the campus.
If he takes the position, Grant would be the first African American men’s basketball coach at Alabama.

$2 MM offer per year and Grant has 5 days to decide. He would be in the same conference as Florida where he served as an assistant. Seems like a good fit, unfortunately.
I like coach Grant but it kind of irks me that every year at the end of the season he might be leaving. I mean it really makes me think he dosen’t like it here. Why cant he stay here and build VCU into a final four and quit with the endless affairs with other teams. Whats the difference between alabama and vcu, not much, good money, ncaa champion poetential etc. Staying in one place has its benefits too!
