Style Weekly’s Music Issue 2008 came out this week and one of their featured artists said to be contributing to “The Sounds of Richmond” is Emily Easterly, a Richmond defector who now lives in Brooklyn. Granted, she did get here start at places like Alley katz and Poe’s Pub, but I mean, did they really need to look up to New York to find people to feature? Haven’t they heard of something called The Eight Track?

Reminds me a little bit of the RTD also looking to the Big Apple to find food bloggers to write about.
