  1. I am a big baby but Pet Sematary scared the crap out of me when I saw it. People tell me that if I see it again as a grownup, I probably wouldn’t be scared. I don’t care, I am NOT trying it.

Also, those Child’s Play movies are effed up. Scary dolls are a guarantee that I will pee my pants.

  2. It’s a tie between Salem’s Lot and Jaws. Hands down, scariest movies ever. Scarred me for life.

    The Ring.
I know that whole Japanese re-make genre has become contrived but the first time I saw that movie it ruined my life. Usually, when things scare me, it’s because I’m caught off-guard so I watch them a second time and get over it. I tried to watch The Ring a second time and had to turn it off.
Apparently my biggest fears are TV static, high pitched squealing, and wet hair.

  4. Open Water. My worst fear right before my eyes. It could only have been worse for me if there was a threat of being bitten by a vampire.

    Also..

    *SPOILER ALERT*

The first time my kid started doing his weirdo crawl, it reminded me EXACTLY of when that girl climbs out of the TV in The Ring. I wanted to run away.

  5. Yeah I was seriously afraid for weeks after The Ring. When the DVD came out, I forced myself to watch it to get over my fear. Not quite as scary when you can hit pause and go get some more ice cream.

  6. I’m an awful person to answer this as I have refused to watch scary movies for a lot of years now. I think the last one I saw was Pet Cemetery 2 and I was done. So I guess I should nominate it? Yeah, I’m a pansy.

  7. The Day After Tomorrow. The “science” is just real enough to be terrifying!

THE EXORCIST has scared me since I was a kid.
Last House on the Left is pretty freaky…
    High Tension

NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET (1&3) are always great to watch

for gore fans: Dead Alive takes the cake!

Other suggestions: Re Animator, Basket Case (silly horror),
