First, I have to say how awesome it was to be able to say, “I have to go watch The Bachelor. You know,  for work.”

Ok, now let’s get to it.

On last night’s episode of The Bachelor: On The Wings of Love (and don’t think they don’t play that song every damn chance they get), Richmonder Rozlyn Papa was all smiles. She had gotten a rose early on and was coasting. This is a thing they do now where certain contestants don’t have to wait until the rose ceremony to find out if they’ve made it to the next round. They undoubtedly do this so the early rose recipients let their guards down and heinous douchebaggery can occur.

So Richmond Roz was just going about her business, being all pretty and blond and laid back while we were being assaulted with not-at-all-subtle references to an “inappropriate relationship” at every commercial break.

Of course by then, everyone knew that Roz was involved in the “inappropriate relationship”, so we should just call last night’s episode “A Lesson On Dramatic Irony.”

When the time came for the ladies to hang out with Bachelor Jake at the cocktail party (this show!), Chris the host (whose purpose on the show I will never understand) pulled Rozlyn aside, made vague references to lines being cross, staffers being dismissed for this “inappropriate relationship,” and told Rozlyn that she needed to get her pretty little self back to RVA. Ok, he didn’t say that last part, but that’s what I would have said to her.

And that was really it.

The other girls cried for some reason (because it’s real sad when your competition is disqualified?), Jake was pissed, and I’m sure ABC will reference this episode as much as is humanly possible.

Rozlyn was interviewed on B103.7 this morning and addressed the whole situation. She’s adamant that the relationship was not at all physical and ABC is dragging it all out for ratings. In my opinion, it seems like she’s handling things pretty well, reminding everyone that The Bachelor is, in fact, a TV show and should be taken with a grain of salt. Let us know what you think.
