New Year’s Rez: Ante up.

Last year I worked super hard at keeping my resolutions, and I did a fair to middling job. My cat kept his (waking me up at 6:00 every morning for no apparent reason other than wanting to purr like an asshole for a half hour before sharpening his claws on the mattress), and he is […]

Last year I worked super hard at keeping my resolutions, and I did a fair to middling job. My cat kept his (waking me up at 6:00 every morning for no apparent reason other than wanting to purr like an asshole for a half hour before sharpening his claws on the mattress), and he is truly an inspiration.

Here are mine, let’s hear yours! Then we can all go around policing everyone all the time!

1. Be on time for work (speaking of which, this might be cut short a little).
2. Stop taking fake sick days (and try to catch a real cold).
3. Stop taking so many weeks off from breadmaking.
4. Pay off as much of my debt as possible.
5. Just say “no” to being a bridesmaid.
6. Read all the non-fiction books I recently acquired (sigh).
7. Bathe on a regular basis (jk).
8. Stop stealing money from all my friends’ wallets when they aren’t looking (jk, OK seriously I am going to work now.)

  1. Seriously who actually keeps NYR’s? Has anyone ever kept a single one ever in their life? Here are some things that I would like to do this year, some of which are trite.

    * Read more books. I’m not sure I even read a book last year — too much netflix and Battlestar Galactica
    * Lose some weight. Not a lot of weight mind you, just some.
    * Watch more movies. I don’t know how this impacts goal #1.
    * Bathe on a regular basis (seriously).

  2. My resolutions are…

    1. Take a walk every day, preferably with my hubs – it will help our relationship since the time-sucking Internet doesn’t have legs…yet.

    2. Drink my daily recommended amount of water (apparently you can determine this by dividing your weight in half – that number determines how many ounces you need).

    3. Eat the spoils of #3 on Susan’s list.

  3. 1) keep better track of staff members
    2) see #1
