Those folks and HandsOn Greater Richmond just keep the good ideas coming, don’t they?

Over the next couple months, HandsOn will get the ball rolling on Meeting in the Middle, a new mentoring program pairing adults (ages 45 and older) with 6th graders in West Richmond and Forest Hill. Mentor/mentee meet-ups are slated to start in early 2010.

If you’re interested in helping with Meeting in the Middle, they are still looking for volunteers. Time commitments will vary, but you can expect around one to three hours per week. Placement begins in January. Stop by the website to learn more and sign up.
