Flying Squirrels now hiring!

The Flying Squirrels’ first home game last Thursday was tons of fun (or “funn”) but anyone who tried to get their snack or drink on knows things at the concession lines were, well, kind of the opposite of fun/funn.

The Flying Squirrels’ first home game last Thursday was tons of fun (or “funn”) but anyone who tried to get their snack or drink on knows things at the concession lines were, well, kind of the opposite of fun/funn. I personally stood in line for an hour before even making it to the counter and, once there, it seemed that there was only one guy at that stand with authorization to pour beer. Not exactly efficient.

But! The Flying Squirrels staff is working to fix this problem. According to their website, the food and beverage department is looking to add a few more members to the FUNN staff.

They have openings in the following postions:

Vendortainers: commissioned vendors who wear costumes and walk through the ballpark selling items such as cotton candy, peanuts, and hot dogs.

Cart Operators: operating carts that serve items such as beer, sausage, and Dippin’ Dots.

Keg Support Crew: responsible for keg replacement and transporting full and empty kegs during games.

Concession Stand Support Crew: finds, fills, and transports dry, cooler, and freezer stock from stockrooms to stands as needed.

Concession Stand Cashiers: operates registers and assembles the customer’s orders.

Concession Stand Kitchen Staff: prepares and cooks food and acts as sales support for the needs of the stand.

Stop by the Flying Squirrels’ website for application details.
