I hope that the silence means that people are taking the time to read Jensen’s essays. His approach to a lot of issues gets at some fairly polarizing value judgements. I’ve got friends who I agree with on most things, but when a Robert Jensen article comes up, we fall on opposite sides and an energetic debate ensues. A Texas university official called him a “fountain of undiluted foolishness on policy issues,” but I think he just brings up provokative points.
