Snow Panda’s Ombak Mixes: 5. Theologue
A lullaby from the mother of a giant beast who just won’t go to sleep. A chase ensues when the only creature above it on the food chain lunges out of the darkness. Mother and child out-run the predator, who collapses in defeat.
Each day for a week, we’re releasing one track from Snow Panda’s Ombak mixes. On Wednesday, October 28, Snow Panda will perform with Ombak at Cous Cous. Today’s track is “Theologue.”

Gotta get a little crazy on something right? Loosely inspired by an Alex Grey painting.
Ombak’s Bryan Hooten says:
A lullaby from the mother of a giant beast who just won’t go to sleep. A chase ensues when the only creature above it on the food chain lunges out of the darkness. Mother and child out-run the predator, who collapses in defeat.
RVAJazz says:
Cameron’s bass line from “Listen to the World” is the first tonal element we hear, and it is soon augmented by a howling, distorted, and not-so-sweet guitar. It becomes a battle between several guitar tracks and a muted trombone, while a lo-fi drum beat rages on.
