In the wake of RVAjazzfest, we tried to give away Maceo Parker tickets, and then Toad’s Place closed down a week before the concert. We began experimenting with Twitter album reviews, and Ploug/Pettersen/Badenhorst was the first subject whether they liked it or not. No BS! Brass launched their  “With Our Powers Combined” series with Gull and dancer Rachel Warren. The Richmond Marching Band met for the first time, and got busted by the cops for the first, and only, time.
