Balliceaux opened up on sacred ground but soon had people raving about its food. It wouldn’t be long before they began booking music. No BS! Brass and Verbatim took advantage of the summer to take their music on the road. Bryan Hooten wrote recaps of the brass band’s tour (part 1, part 2). At the end of August, No BS! displayed their marketing prowess with a show at The Camel. ILAD released their album Here//There at Capital Ale House, and I covered a couple new non-Richmond releases on the OA2 label. Season 4 at Cous Cous launched with Fight the Big Bull and Ombak trading weeks, and the two leaders spoke about their time off.
