If your goal is to complete your Dave Douglas album collection before his visit to VCU in April, now’s the time to check out his label’s website. Greenleaf Music is choosing a different album every day to sell for the discounted rate of $7 for the CD, $6 for the FLACs, and $5 for the MP3s. Douglas’s Facebook keenly notes, “That means that you can buy a CD for less than you can buy the MP3s at other retailers.” With the digital downloads come the artwork and packaging. The holiday bundles seem to be a pretty good deal, too. Stock up!
It seems like a great idea by Douglas and Greenleaf, one that should really encourage people to start purchasing before the holidays. This, of course, prompts the question: Is anyone else around doing something like this?
UPDATE: There’s a $1 discount on all purchases if you sign up with a .EDU email address.
