It’s time for the beginning of another week! I hope everyone was able to get out and enjoy the gorgeous weather this weekend. (You’re welcome, by the way.) The beginning of this week looks to be even more of the same, though a weak area of low pressure with a little associated moisture is going to give us a few more clouds for Monday and Tuesday as it passes near the region. Our chances of seeing anything more than some cloudiness are virtually nil.
My only complaint was the ridiculously dry air we saw this weekend. A lack of moisture in the air meant single-digit dewpoints for most of Saturday and during the peak daytime hours Sunday. My humidifier is still working overtime to keep me from going crazy with dry skin and static electricity. Hydration is key, kids! The pattern for the next few days doesn’t look to change much, so I’d plan on still feeling pretty dry for a while yet.
Monday and Tuesday
That previously-mentioned weak area of low pressure is going to be responsible for some increased cloudiness compared to Sunday’s gorgeous weather. The clouds will hold down temperatures a little bit, but still keep them in the neighborhood of 60 degrees. The clouds will also keep temperatures slightly warmer at night, in the lower 40s rather than the lower 30s.
Clouds will begin developing in earnest in advance of a strong area of low pressure set to develop over the plains in the next 2-3 days. Temps will still be quite warm, but without a lot of the sunshine that we’ve seen earlier in the week. Highs in the low-mid 60s, lows should in the upper 40s.
The pattern for the latter half of this week isn’t looking as good. I’ll talk more about our chances both for rain and for a repeat of this weekend later on in the week.
