- The [ur]Spiders[/ur] defeated #13 University of Florida 56-53. David Gonzalvez and Kevin Anderson continued to lead the Spiders with 16 and 14 points respectively. UR is now 8-3, and 2-1 against the SEC.
- The [vcu]Rams[/vcu] squeaked by with a win over Tulane, 78-77, moving to 7-2. At one point in the second half VCU lead by 17 points.
- The Eastern League announced a divisional realignment: the [fs]Flying Squirrels[/fs] are now members of the Western Division. The Western Division includes current league Champions, the Akron Aeros.
- Villanova beat Montana to win the FCS Championship game. This is the second year in a row a CAA team has won the National Championship.
