May already looks like an awesome month for everything food. Not only is it South of the James farmers’ market’s opening weekend, but we have much to celebrate as RVA-grown food businesses blossom in different parts of Virginia. Make us proud!
A new upscale sports bar opens in The Fan, Yapple Carytown defaults on its lease, and one of America’s best beers hits the shelves.
For the past 5 years the South of the James Farmers’ Market has pulled up stakes the first week of December and re-opened as the South of the James Market a week or so later. Now they’re looking to stay put.
South of the James Market kicks off its sixth year on Saturday with over 100 vendors.
If your weekends are anything like mine, you spend most of your time requesting a toddler to either pick out, put on, or don’t take off shoes. But what to do with the remaining twenty minutes of the weekend?
