Beginning at 4 p.m. at the World War I Memorial Carillon, the city carillonneur Larry Robinson will pay tribute to our nation’s veterans through the ringing of the Carillon Bells followed by a concert from The Virginians Barbershop Chorus.
From patriotic songs, to fireworks, to goats, there’s something for everyone this Memorial Day.
This event is free to all.
I’m going to assume everyone still likes to drink, because two events are entirely focused around alcohol this week…and the other ones could easily involve it. Celebrate the start of summer appropriately and responsibly, but gosh darn it, celebrate it you will. Or I’m coming for you.
Monday marks the unofficial beginning of summer, so quit messin’ around. Time to get out and do some stuff.
