Before the season, Coach Smart said, “Every time we take the floor, we believe we can win.” It showed Friday night as Virginia Commonwealth University gave #5 Duke their fiercest challenge of the season in a 67-58 loss.
It was all HAVOC!, all night Thursday as VCU beat #19 Memphis 78-65 in the Battle 4 Atlantis.
The VCU Rams are in the Bahamas to participate in this season’s premier preseason tournament. The Rams open the tournament Thursday night against #19 Memphis.
The Battle 4 Atlantis is one of the premier preseason tournaments, and it features an extremely competitive eight-team field. VCU will face Memphis in the first round.
