Recap: VCU loses a heart-breaker to Indiana

Despite forcing 22 turnovers, the #12 Virginia Commonwealth University Rams just couldn’t put the #4 Indiana University Hoosiers away Saturday night in Portland, Oregon. While they played great defense, the Rams watched a nine point lead disappear only to lose 63-61 in the final minute of the game.

What to expect: VCU faces Indiana

Saturday night VCU will face #4 Indiana in the 3rd round of the NCAA tournament. The winner will move onto the Sweet Sixteen and play the winner of #8 Iowa State vs. #1 Kentucky.

The Rams are off to Portland

A couple hundred people, decked out in black and gold, gathered at the Siegel Center today to wish the VCU Rams good luck and safe travels to Portland. The Rams will take on Witchita State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday at 7:15pm.

VCU Basketball: 2,870 miles and 40 minutes

After winning the CAA tournament all the VCU Rams could do was wait for their seed and practice. The #12 VCU Rams will play #5 Wichita State in Portland Oregon on Thursday March 15th at 7:15pm (EST) on CBS.
