Year Wraps Up with Three New Restaurant Openings in Short Pump

As 2011 winds down and comes to a close, three new restaurants have or have recently come on scene in the Far West End. The Halligan Bar, a locally-owned Shockoe Bottom favorite, opened in the West Broad Village development on December 2nd. Featuring a real, full size vintage firetruck (see it being delivered here) as part of the main bar, with “VIP seating” on top, Halligan offers a wide variety of sandwich and barbecue entrees.

Just down the block, seafood chain Bonefish Grill will be opening any day now. The outparcel sits in front of The Wine Loft and faces West Broad Street. The restaurant’s only other Richmond location is on Harbour Park Drive off Hull Street Road in Chesterfield.

Down the road from Bonefish, Olive Garden is completing work on a restaurant soon to open at Broad and Lauderdale in the Corner at Short Pump development. The chain’s closest current location is at Broad and Glenside.
