A little bit of environmental discussion on Richmond’s airwaves this Earth Day morning, from Shockoe News:

Open Source is a new show on WRIR that takes a look at local issues and brings folks on the air for discussion and Q & A. In honor of Earth Day on Friday they are taking a look at the James River. The first half of the show will discuss the state of the river with Chris French of the Alliance for Chesapeake Bay and whether we are doing a good job as stewards.

In the second half Rachel Flynn, former head of community development, will be there to talk about real estate development along the riverfront.  The show will be live tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. on 97.3 FM and streaming at wrir.org.  You can grab a Podcast of the show in the early afternoon. Folks are encouraged to call in at 649-9737 or email  at rvaopensource@gmail.com.
