Dominion Riverrock is the “East Coast’s premier outdoor lifestyle festival,” bringing athletes, spectators, musicians, and even dogs to Brown’s Island for a two-day festival on Richmond’s downtown riverfront. Would you pay nearly $2,000 to learn how to film it?

Check this from the Outside Adventure Film School:

Outside Adventure Film School storms the east coast for one of the nation’s largest action-sports events- Dominion Riverrock in Richmond, Virginia. Students receive exclusive press passes to mix it up with athletes and capture all the intensity that comes with first-rate competition.

Our instructors will provide training on camera techniques and storytelling, but film topics are decided by the students themselves. There will be no shortage of compelling subject matter to choose from: the heart-pumping acrobatics on display by freestyle bikers, big air kayakers, and long-jumping dogs; the filthy fun of mudrunning; or the slightly more traditional mountain biking event, just to name a few. Evenings will be filled with top-tier musical entertainment.

After the last competition has played out, students edit their footage at the nearby Crowne Plaza Hotel, equipped with the latest Apple computers and editing software. The school culminates with a student film festival where students show off their short films.
