The Squirrels continue their tailspin. They have lost 5 out of their last 6 and they currently sit in 5th place in the division. The good news is that they are only 3.5 games behind 2nd place Bowie and a potential playoff spot.

The Revolution had a banner week. They were named the best franchise in the IFL. Coach Steve Criswell won the Coach of the Year and QB Bryan Randall was named the league’s MVP. The Revolution begin post-season play this upcoming Monday evening, against the Rochester Raiders. Due to the league best 13-1 record, the Revolution will have home field advantage throughout the entire playoffs. League MVP Bryan Randall and rest of the Revolution will take the field Monday, June 28th at 7:05 to begin the team’s run to the United Bowl.

The Kickers beat up on Real Maryland on Tuesday night to earn them the chance to face DC United of the MLS on June 30. This will be quite the challenge for Richmond, who has had success against DC United in the past; however, with the game being played at George Mason University, I would suspect that DC United will have the home crowd working for them.
