Of course you all know that White Laces dropped one of the best albums to come out of this town in 2012, Moves. But if there’s one thing we’ve learned by watching this indie-rock quartet develop over their relatively brief career, it’s that the members of White Laces are not content to rest on their laurels. Since 2013 began, they’ve already released a digital-only live EP, Interzone, which featured new recordings of several tracks from Moves, as well as a quasi-title track that didn’t actually appear on the album, entitled “Deep Moves.” And now they’re about to drop a brand new 7 inch EP, featuring a studio version of “Deep Moves” as well as a new track, “Ascend.”
White Laces play a show tonight (10PM / FREE) at Ipanema as the May installment of Live at Ipanema.
