What happened to the Montrose Heights trolley?

Early advertisements for lots in Montrose Heights emphasize expansion of the trolley line into that area. I also have several Times-Dispatch articles from 1911-1913 that discuss where the trolley line would go. I obtained a copy of McKenney’s book from the library but there is no mention of Montrose Heights. I saw the trolley map from 1930 that you posted and it appears that the line never went any further east than that original Fulton loop (which is on the 1887 map in McKenney’s book).

I was wondering if you have any further information on what happened? Thanks for any information that you may be able to provide.
