The West Grace Street’s 1st annual Graffiti Contest starts this weekend:

The West Grace Street Association is hosting its 1st annual Graffiti Contest on Saturday, April 6, 2013, from 9AM until 3PM. The contest will feature a selection of six interesting and decorated alleys in Richmond’s historic Fan District. In addition, 6 panel trucks will be rolling targets/billboards during the event.

The tour’s theme is A Taste of Grace. Guests will sample signature dishes presented by “celebrity” neighborhood restaurant chefs, and will taste Virginia wines from Cooper Vineyards. A relaxed schedule is designed to allow time to experience the neighborhood and its flavors. Participating restaurants include Garnett’s Cafe, Emilio’s, Gus’ Bar & Grill, The Camel, and Lee’s Fried Chicken.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the tour (if available). Guests should buy tickets early as the tour sold out last year. Ticket sales begin Monday, April 1, 2013 at Strawberry Fields Flowers & Gifts (432 Strawberry St.), Strawberry Street Vineyard (407 Strawberry St.), Lucille’s Bakery (719 N. Meadow St.), and Lift Coffee (218 W. Broad St.) Proceeds benefit the West Grace Street Association, dedicated to the betterment of the neighborhood.

Tour sponsors can enjoy exposure in our print and electronic media, as well as free tour tickets. Visit westgracestreet.com or contact Pam Embrey at 804-337-9486 or pam.embrey@yahoo.com.
