Sprout and The Virginia Sustainable Agriculture Documentary Project will be hosting a fundraiser event on November 15, from 6-10PM to help publish a photographic journal about sustainable food in central Virginia.
The book includes 50 photographs and interviews with families and growers, including their views on sustainability, cost, and creating a “new food economy.” A short essay detailing the author’s observations on sustainable food will also support the photographs.
The event will begin at 6pm. Donations will be accepted throughout the evening and 10% of food sales will be donated to the project. There will be live music by Susannah and Chandler, Old-time American music on guitar and fiddle, and Blues and folk singer-songwriter Gina Sobel.
