VDOT Plans Lane Closures For I-295 Bridge Rehabilitation

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) announced another round of lane closures today that will affect motorists traveling on both east and west travel lanes the coming week. Crews will be completing another task in the flyover project which includes repainting steel beams under the existing I-295 bridge and rehabilitating the concrete decking above. VDOT Spokeswoman Dawn Eischen has more details in the press release below.

I-64 west – The left lane will be closed on I-64 west between Broad Street (mile marker 178) and just west of the I-295 interchange (mile marker 176) nightly from 10 p.m.-6 a.m. April 13 (p.m.) through April 16 (a.m.). Crews will be doing bridge deck rehabilitation and painting.

I-64 east – The left lane will be closed on I-64 east between just west of the I-295 interchange (mile marker 176) and Broad Street (mile marker 178) from 10 p.m. April 16 through 6 a.m. April 17. Crews will be doing bridge deck rehabilitation and painting.
