The VCU Rams (11-4, 2-1 CAA) look to get things going again after a close home loss to Georgia State against the Drexel Dragons (9-5, 1-2 CAA) in a CAA battle in Philly tonight at 8PM. CAA preseason favorite Drexel is coming off a 60-27 drubbing of Towson and a 14-point loss to Georgia State.

Know your enemy:

Samme Givens is a 6-foot-5 power forward who plays like a man five inches taller. Although his rebounding numbers have slipped from last season’s 10.1 average, Givens is rugged and relentless. He will challenge the Rams on the blocks. Super sub Chris Fouch has returned from injury, but hasn’t shot the ball particularly well (.347 FG, .321 3-Pt. FG) up to this point, which is troubling for a team short on gunners. Junior point guard Frantz Massenat (11.9 ppg, 3.9 apg) continues to progress and now ranks among the CAA’s best floor generals. Freshman guard Damion Lee (11.4 ppg, 27 3-Pt. FG) has been one of the league’s best rookies.
