Coached by Chuck Noe, the 1972-1973 Rams went 15-5. The season included losses to Virginia Union and Morehead State, but ended with a 115-70 win over Brooklyn and a 121-70 victory over Southeastern (both at the Franklin Street Gym).
After coaching at VMI, Virginia Tech, and South Carolina, Coach Noe lead the Rams for 6 years, going 95-42, and “leading the program to division I status“.
