Dave Wasserman, U.S. House editor of the nonpartisan Cook Political Report and perhaps the sharpest eye on the ongoing vote counting from last Tuesday’s election, is saying that uncounted votes from City Stadium & Carillon could net over 100 votes for the Democratic candidate for Attorney General Mark Herring.
As of this writing, the Republican candidate Mark Obenshain leads by only 55 votes in a contest with over 2,200,000 votes cast, a lead that could be erased by projected net 116 votes for Herring from precinct 501.
An nbc12 story last night says that “there is some speculation over certain precincts, voting machines, and written ballots“, but doesn’t have any specifics.
