When Twin Hickory resident Andrea Sovich was a senior executive at a local Fortune 500 company, she was sometimes working 70-hour workweeks. As a mother of two young children, she had little time to get her everyday tasks accomplished. When she left in January, she got the idea to start a company that helped others in her shoes accomplish theirs.

“For a few months, I didnt even think about work,” Sovich said about the period after she left her career. “I was just decompressing and recharging.” She then started thinking about what she wanted to do next, going through a gamut of options.

Sovich knew she wanted to go into something that allowed her to spend more time with her family and she wanted to be her own boss. She then put the two together. ”I decided to create a company that would help not only busy professionals, but also moms-to-be and new moms who are adjusting to life with a new baby, people who have had surgery or been sick, and seniors.”

Sovich founded Consider It Done, a service-oriented company that allows Richmond area residents to save time on everything from grocery shopping and trips to the post office to holiday shopping and library returns.

Sovich’s company also offers a variety decluttering and organizing services for home and business owners.

For real estate agents, she offers services such as arranging refreshments for open houses, stocking brochure holders and taking photos of new listings.

Sovich says one local professional, who she organized six closets for, “commented that the organizing was on her to-do list for a very long time and was relieved to have Consider It Done come in and create more space and efficiency for her.”

While Consider It Done is currently a solo operation, Sovich says she plans on hiring some part time workers in the near future as demand increases.

“Since I opened the business a few months ago, I get three or four emails a week from people who tell me the business concept is awesome,” Sovich said. “Now the push is on to get the word out and educate people about how we can help them.”

Sovich even offers gift certificates for her business, which she calls “The Gift of Time.” She plans on donating services to charities from time to time and has donated services for the upcoming March of Dimes’ silent auction.
