According to the RTD, a giant tree limb nailed a motorcyclist earlier this morning.

Eastbound Monument Avenue reopened this afternoon in the 4200 block after being closed for several hours after a tree limb fell and struck a passing motorcyclist, who then became pinned beneath a sport utility vehicle.

The rider of the small motorcycle was taken to VCU Medical Center for what were believed to be non-life threatening injuries, Richmond officials at the scene said.

Any second thoughts on getting a motorcycle?
