Henrico Fire crews were called to the 9800 block of Camberwill Court in the Victorian West townhouse complex off Pemberton Road near Interstate 64 around 8:00 p.m. Monday night and discovered flames coming from the roof of the structure. The two residents escaped unharmed.
Firefighters brought the blaze under control about an hour later. While the involved unit was heavily damaged, adjoining units sustained only moderate smoke damage.
Workers were seen covering the hole in the roof with a tarp Tuesday in advance of the rain and snow showers. There’s no word on the cause of the fire at this time.
