Between the 40,000 people participating in the Monument Avenue 10K and Ram Fever spreading like wildfire with VCU in the NCAA Final Four, some have joked that Richmond may very well explode this weekend. With the 10K, an Easter Bunny breakfast and some live theater, there’s so much to do and see around town this weekend!

1. Monument Avenue 10K
Saturday, April 2
If you are not one of the 40,000 runners planned for this “monumental” run, you can cheer along the racecourse and make signs for your friends, you can listen to bands that will be all along the route, and there will be many post-race festivities in Monroe park. There is also a Kids run. Kids ages 5-12 will want to take part in this exciting event. The Virginia 529 Kids Run begins prior to the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k and features all of the same excitement. Participants will each get a t-shirt and race number.

2. Short Pump Town Center Bunny Breakfast
Saturday, April 2
Join the Easter Bunny for breakfast from Chick-fil-A, and celebrate Spring with Kindermusik! Sing about hens and chicks, and hop like a bunny! Children will enjoy singing, dancing, moving, and letting their creativity soar. Pals members, ages 6 and under, eat FREE! (Must present valid membership card.) Adults may purchase from the regular menu, prices may vary.

3. Special Needs Resource Fair

A resource fair full of information on all the resources for families/children with special needs. Jonathan the Juggler will be there and there will be therapeutic horseback riding, arts & crafts and lots more to do!
