Henrico Fire crews battled an early morning fire at Zorba’s Greek & Italian Restaurant in the 9000 block of West Broad Street in the Tuckernuck Square shopping center. The fire was reported around 7:00 a.m. and three alarms were called before the blaze was brought under control around 7:45 a.m.
Fire officials arrived to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the roof of the building. The popular West End restaurant has been locally owned and operated for more than a decade and a half.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but firefighters said it does not appear suspicious at this time.
