Kids Walk for Kids Walkathon

Join us for the 9th annual Kids Walk for Kids, supporting coordinators2inc on Saturday March 24, 2012. All money raised from the event supports the services of coordinators2inc, especially our program that recruits and prepares parents to adopt children waiting in the Virginia foster care system. Our services also support those children by preparing them for the move from a temporary home to a permanent, forever family. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m at Benedictine College Preparatory, and the two mile walk begins at 9:00 a.m. Adults are $25, children are free. Games and prizes following the walk. Register in advance at c2adopt.org or Saturday morning during check-in.

Urban Assault Ride

Sun Mar 25 9:00 am
he Urban Assault Ride™ is the biggest bicycle scavenger hunt series in the nation! Here’s how it works: You and your teammate will set out on a city-wide quest for ‘checkpoints’ on your favorite two-wheeled steeds. At each checkpoint, you’ll drop your bikes and complete a funky/adventurous obstacle course, then remount your bikes and hit the streets for more.

The goal is to complete all the checkpoints in the shortest amount of time. You choose your own route and checkpoint order. This means that the most clever are often the victors. Of course, it may also help if you can pull a mean big-wheel powerslide and fly across an inflatable slip-n-slide

After your pedal-powered adventure, your team will cross the finish line and enter a massive celebration of New Belgium Brewing Co’s whimsical ways, bikes, and big wheels. The after party is just as much fun as the ride itself, thanks to the craziest raffle prize contest you’ll ever experience. Pick a partner and we’ll see you there!!

Flight Night @ Secco

Mon Mar 26 10:00 am
Trying new things is like hitting the refresh button on our existence: it delivers us from complacency, engages our senses and forces us to question our tastes, values and, in turn, our very nature. Yet, more often than not, most of us will opt for the familiar over the unknown. Every Monday.
