Jazsmine’s Bake Sale

This Saturday, Jazsmine, a 6th-grade student at MLK Middle School, will be holding a bake sale to raise money to go on a special field trip to Washington, D.C. in Patrick Henry Park at 25th and Broad.

Deserts provided and baked by Betsy of Cafe Ole, David of Garnett’s Cafe, Karen of I COULD GO ON AND ON, and Nicole from Dollop. Cash only. Bake sale lasts until we are sold out or 4PM!!

ARCHITECTURE and the PARKS I

The Storefront is facilitating this first of two looks at our parks. Gillie’s Creek Park founders Carl Otto and Wyatt Kingston will tell the story of the park’s founding and growth into one of the East End’s great public recreational spaces. To be followed by a facilitated public design charrette for Horseshoe Pit Shelters.

City Council Formal Meeting

Mon Apr 11 6:00 pm
Every 2nd and 4th Mon – Responsible for deciding official Council action, which includes discussing, adopting, rejecting, and amending laws and approving the budget. Formal meetings include a time for pubic comment and are televised live on the local PBS station and are replayed in Richmond on Government Access Channel 17, beginning at Noon and 7:00 p.m. daily.

Frequency
Typically the second and fourth Monday of each month; 6:00-8:30 p.m. (With the exception of August, when no Formal meetings are held, and holidays)
