Richmond Public Schools is pleased to bring The Choice campaign to the 6th & 7th Districts on Saturday, September 18, 2010. Beginning at 10 a.m. – noon, the roll out of this campaign will kickoff at Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School with students, staff, parents and community volunteers canvassing the neighborhoods of the 6th and 7th Districts and highlighting the vast opportunities our district provides. This multi-tiered marketing initiative marks the district’s first broad-based public awareness effort designed to retain and recruit local students and families.

A look at the new MLK Middle School

The City of Richmond’s Office of Special Capital Projects, along with Richmond Public Schools, will present updates on the Building a Better Richmond – Schools Capital Improvement Program to construct new schools for Broad Rock Elementary, Oak Grove Elementary, MLK Middle and Huguenot High on meetings at the schools through out the month. The MLK meeting will be held Sept. 22, 2010, at 3PM at MLK.
The elementary school meetings will include the presentation of renderings of the buildings, site plans and models, as well as dates for groundbreaking. The middle and high school meetings will include a display of new renderings, as well as a feedback session for the community to provide input on the design process.

Adult Computer Class
