As recently as 2009, the church or it’s pastor owned 19 properties in the neighborhood, 13 of which were either vacant lots or vacant buildings. The most prominent of these, the Citadel of Hope on Venable Street, burned almost a year ago and has been listed for sale for the past 6 months.
