The Short Pump Strange’s Greenhouse & Garden Center is hosting their 3rd annual Dog Days in the Garden on Saturday, February 6th. The dog-friendly event will feature contests, demonstrations and raffles for Strange’s Garden Center prizes.
This year the event will celebrate community and service dog organizations.
The Richmond Animal League (RAL) will be on hand with dogs available for adoption. RAL is the area’s oldest non-profit “no-kill” organization committed to reducing the homeless pet population in the Richmond area. RAL provides temporary housing, medical treatment, sterilization, and quality care to over 800 companion animals.
Other participants include Caring Canines Therapy Dogs, Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Henrico Animal Protection Unit Fire & Rescue, American Red Cross Pet Safety, K9 Alert Search and Rescue, Henrico Police K9 Unit, Quioccasin Veterinary Hospital, Dee the Dog Trainer, Family Dog Digest and more.
