The next election in the City of Richmond will be a general election on Tuesday, November 8, 2011. The polls will be open from 6AM to 7PM. Items on the ballot will be State Senate, House of Delegates and Circuit Court Clerk.

The area is split across 2 State Senate districts. Don McEachin (D-Incumbent) is running unopposed in State Senate District 9. Refreshingly, the State Senate District 10 incumbent John Watkins (R) has a challenger in David Bernard (D).
