It seems like life is getting back to normal.
The roads are clearing up. Carytown is a perpetual parking lot. The folks at Belmont Butchery are swamped. I am not quite back to flip flops, but I am wearing my Crocs.
I love the weather outside but it seems that it bringing us closer to the traditional brown Christmas. I am okay with that.
My family and I wake up on the 25th, share gifts, eat breakfast and then go for a nice stroll through the silent Museum District. It’s nothing fantastic, but it’s what we do and therefore its special. So while a White Christmas is memorable, I can find appreciation in the typical RVA holiday.
