Gap has announced plans to come to Short Pump Town Center. The retailer will open a total of three of its stores at the mall, including a Gap, Baby Gap and Gap Kids. The stores will occupy a portion of the space that once housed the West Elm home furnishings store that closed in January 2010. The stores should be open in several months.

Two local Short Pump businesses have announced a partnership to boost one another’s business. Cupcake bakery Frostings has teamed up with kids’ birthday party and gym business Romp n’ Roll. Frostings will offer free delivery of cupcakes for any birthday party package and sell them at a discounted rate.

“There’s just a natural, complementary synergy between our two concepts, so we feel very fortunate to have this opportunity,” Frostings co-owner Jason Ferrell said. “What makes it even better is the fact it’s another local business– one we personally look up to for the success they’ve created for themselves.”
