The 17-year-old victim, shot in the right side and the lower left leg, was taken to VCU Medical Center for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening, Richmond police Capt. David L. Martin said. Roderick Howard, 18, of Richmond was being held this morning on charges of malicious wounding and use of a firearm in a felony.
