SHEEP JONES / NEW WORKS / Sept. 6th-Sept 28th
Sheep is a perennial favorite among patrons of the glave kocen gallery. Her strong color and whimsical paintings speak to the heart of artists the gallery represents. She’s well known for her Sheds, Botanicals, Bee Hives, and Figurative work coupled with hidden elements that surprise and delight. Sheep is a fulltime artist living in Virginia and spends her summers in Maine where she draws a lot of her inspiration from.

FRANKIE SALUGHTER / UNRAVELLED / Oct. 4th-Oct. 23rd
Frankie steps away from her one of kind jackets that had propelled her all the way to the 2012 New York Fashion Week to continue to explore what really makes her tick as an artist. Her fascination with different media and form hits an all-time high with “Unravel” as Frankie will exhibit mixed media paintings, ceramic sculpture, paper sculpture and even a video installation. It will be one of the most anticipated exhibits of the season and certainly one of the most visually arresting the glave kocen gallery has ever mounted.

STEVEN WALKER / THE LAST 35 / Nov. 1st-Nov.30th
As a pirate looks at 40, so does Steven Walker look back on his 35 years and how that has informed him as a professional artist. Walker’s strength lies in his majestic skylines, pastoral landscapes and the ability to swing from loose impressionistic paintings to tight photo realistic work. Technically advanced beyond his years, Steven has had a much storied career with national commission work, numerous corporate collections, a VMFA travelling exhibit and recent accolades from the Oil Painters of America.
