“We are so proud of our Rouge Family brother
Alejandro Ortiz and the Spiritual Harmonizers!
Many of you remember Alejandro as Leonard Walker in Ready for Right (singing that stunning song at the end of the play!) … and many of you saw him stun the crowds -and the judges- in this week’s episode of America’s Got Talent! We’re so proud of him!
(We here at Sycamore Rouge do want to point out, however, that we knew he had talent way before David Hasselhoff said so!)”
Watch the video here: Alejandro & the Spiritual Harmonizers on America’s Got Talent. If the link doesn’t work, go to http://oldtownepetersburg.com (cut and paste into a browser window if you are having trouble) and I’ll post a link there, too, that is sure to work. Read below about Sycamore Rouge’s next production, Night of January 16 – this summer’s must-see courtroom drama which OPENS FRIDAY, JULY 17 at 8pm!

Below are some more upcoming events in Old Towne. You may also check http://www.oldtownepetersburg.com/events.html any time for up to the minute information on Old Towne happenings.

SALES/SPECIALS

Minerva Books to close August 15
Minerva Books will close permanently at the end of the day on August 15. I want to thank the community for their ideas, conversation and support, and invite everyone out for the For Whom the Bell Tolls sale. Everything in the store is currently 40% off, including new and used books, rare and signed, magnets and cards. Come early for the best selection of those future Christmas presents! Also, although I am not the person to make it work, I believe Petersburg needs and can support a bookstore. If anyone has a hankering to take up the mantle as “the” bookstore owner in Petersburg (i.e. to buy inventory, fixtures, furniture or some combination and move it all to a more suitable location), I will lend you my full support to include training, insight and even some manual labor. Please call 732-2440 if interested. minervabooks.net / 233 Bartow Alley.
