Based in Scott’s Addition Richmond Cycling Corps reaches to help at risk youth one spin of the crank at a time.

Richmond Cycling Corps works with kids from Fairfield Court, one of the roughest areas of public housing in the Richmond Metro area. Armed with a bread truck and an enclosed trailer of road and mountain bikes, Dodson and his crew head to Fairfield Court when school gets out two or three times a week.

RCC started with eight kids. Four completed the program, which means they rode with the group two or three times a week throughout the school year. All four completed a 50-mile charity ride in Philadelphia that spring, a clear measure of success.
