A project that rose from the ashes of the former S&K Menswear headquarters in Short Pump was named the city’s Best Reuse Project at the Greater Richmond Association of Commercial Real Estate this year.

The Stratford University/Thalhimer Center conversion, following Thalhimer’s purchase of the building from now defunct S&K, took home the top honor.

The project, headed up by MGT Construction, included renovation of the interior and exterior of the existing 75,000 square foot warehouse previously used for distribution (Stratford University) and renovation of the interior and exterior of the existing 28,000 square foot office space (Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer).

The project was also a finalist for the overall Project of the Year award.
