A story we first brought you in May regarding two stolen puppies has come to a happy ending for at least one of the dogs. Two college-age girls each took a puppy from a B.A.R.K. adoption event at the Short Pump PetSmart this past spring. One of the pups, a beagle named Aimee, was returned this week.

Police will confirm few details other than both girls are VCU students and the one who returned Aimee had taken her home to Charlottesville for the summer.

She faces misdemeanor charges when she heads to court in September.

Police believe the other puppy may be in Northern Virginia.
